On-Line Licence Activation

Lao Script for Windows Version 6

Are you having difficulty activating (registering) your Lao Script for Windows Version 6 licence? Follow the instructions below to use this web page to activate either the machine you are currently using, or any other machine for which you have a copy of the user identity key file (e.g. on a diskette).

You must already have a valid licence and password (registration key)!
See Purchasing a Licence to find out how to purchase a licence.

How to activate your licence

1.If you have not already done so, you must create the user identity key file on the machine you are trying to activate, using either the new Licence Activation program (Start - Programs - Lao Script for Windows - Activate Licence) or the old program (Start - Run... C:\Program Files\LSWin\Register.exe)
2.This file will be called either UserID.lsk or UserID.key, depending on the program used to create it. (Either file name may be used, but UserID.lsk is safer, as it avoids the risk of being confused with a registry file.)
3.The file is always saved to the Lao Script for Windows application folder (C:\Program Files\LSWin), but may be copied to another path (e.g. A:\) if the machine you are using has no internet connection.
4. Then, using the form at right, browse to the folder with the user identity key file
(e.g. C:\Program Files\LSWin or A:\)

Select the key file:
5.Select the key file (UserID.lsk or UserID.key)
6.Press Submit to send the user key for validation

If validation succeeds, the validated key file will be made available as an attachment to download. Save the file in the LSWin application folder, renaming it to LSWinID.lsk.  (To prevent any accidental change to the Windows registry, the file is not returned directly as LSWinID.key.) Registration will then take effect as soon as you restart LaoKey (the LSWin keyboard mapping application).
