Lao Script for Windows Version 6 includes Add-Ins for Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access to simplify sorting spreadsheets, tables and queries according to Lao alphabetical order. The Lao Help Menu describes these functions and includes sample Visual Basic code showing how to use them from Access. The function library also includes functions for wrapping and spell-checking Lao text, converting text for different font coding conventions (e.g. from Saysettha Lao to Unicode), and for programmatically enabling or disabling Lao keyboard mapping. Other applications that can call external dynamically-linked libraries (DLL) can also use call those functions from the Lao Script for Windows library, by using equivalent syntax to the VBA calls documented by the Lao Help Menu.
